Laboratory of Design, Territory, History and Materiality (LACTH)

Description

Since its foundation, LACTH’s research has focused on the complexity of objects, forms and discourses that make up contemporary architecture, cities and landscapes. The different facets of this questioning are addressed within four specific research areas: Conception, which explores in particular the relationships between experience and environment, discourse and representation, languages and knowledge; Territory, which has been interested in the continuous complexity of urban reality and its models of understanding for 30 years; History, which closely combines material history and cultural history to understand different situations; Materiality which, at the level of the constructed, probes the articulation between theoretical and practical knowledge.
